Porsche Working On All-Electric Macan and 718 Vehicles

Porsche’s devotion to electrifying its lineup is not a surprise as a true innovator in the auto industry. However, the automaker made waves when it publicized its goal to generate 80% of its total EV sales by 2030. How does Porsche plan to accomplish this impressive goal?
During that same announcement, Porsche made a few other exciting revelations. Specifically, it announced that popular models like the Macan SUV and the 718 sports car would soon be available as all-electric models. These will join other established plug-in hybrid models. The Macan EV will be available soon, but the 718 is still a few years out.
Electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles can be charged at home or a public charging station. Thus far, Porsche has been working with Ionity to meet the public charging needs of its customers. This is the company that Daimler, BMW, Ford, and Volkswagen use. However, Porsche has announced its intent to create its charging network. These will initially be located in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. They will be built exclusively for Porsche drivers, and they will have luxurious lounges for drivers to relax in while they wait for their vehicles to charge.
