2022 Porsche Cayenne vs 2021 Porsche Cayenne
Serving Farmington Hills, MI
The Porsche Cayenne boasts almost two decades of history on the road. The third generation of this premium, high-performance SUV was introduced in 2019 with extensive improvements throughout the vehicle. Porsche has continued to make improvements to this midsize SUV over the years. While the 2021 and 2022 Cayenne are similar in many ways, there are differences that you should be aware of before you make your next purchase. At Porsche Farmington Hills, we are happy to assist you with your exploration of the Cayenne.
Performance
The performance capabilities of the Cayenne are unchanged between 2021 and 2022. All trims are equipped with all-wheel drive and eight-speed auto transmission. Numerous gas and hybrid engines are offered across the trim lineup. The base trim receives 335 horsepower from its V6, 3.0-liter turbo engine. A sportier V6 engine is also available that offers 434 horsepower. Two turbo V8 engines are also offered, and they produce 453 and 541 horsepower. The hybrid turbo V6 engine provides 455 total horsepower, and the hybrid turbo V8 engine gives you 670 total horsepower.
Appearance
The Cayenne’s aerodynamic exterior has not been retouched for the 2022 model year. For both 2021 and 2022, the Cayenne has a tall, level roofline with a raked rear and a swooping hood. The headlights are prominently defined and have a teardrop shape. The innovative grille design features three sections with horizontal bars, and it wraps around the curved nose. The sides are subtly curved, with body-colored trim over the wheel wells and black molding over the lower door panels.
Features
The main improvement to the 2022 Porsche Cayenne is inside the cabin. The infotainment system has been revamped and now includes Android Auto. At different trim levels, both model years give you a 360-degree camera, leather material, adaptive cruise control, a 21-speaker Burmester sound system, heated seats with memory settings, a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, ambient lighting, a navigation system, a 12.4-inch central display screen, and other desired features.
